I would just like to add that I have the utmost respect for all the Mugen creator's whose work I've modded. I'll put up a vid of King soon. The next step for me is to finish up the universal skeleton to be used by all characters and start porting the character's moves over. Iori is a central character to the series' plot, and the initial enemy and eventual rival of Kyo Kusanagi. Jenet yes I removed Rolling Thunder, sorry : So a few more things I figure I'd share for people who might be wondering what's the difference between alpha and beta aside a little knit-picking. Four core characters remain plus one bonus. A beta incorporates more of the mechanics: Adjusting all shared animations to one standard basically make everything match.
He was created specifically to become Kyo's rival as his name and abilities were designed to relate him with the Yamata no Orochi legend. Hopefully that clears things up for ya. So just from an initial impression i think Tag mode may be the best one. My advice to you is just to take it one piece at a time and eventually you'll get there. I'll have a heck of a time with characters like Kula and Chizuru, which is why I'm leaving them until last. I know super sparks and effects are inconsistent.
Keep the comments, advice and suggestions coming. Boss: Krizalid, Rugal, Chizuru, Goenitz. Mugen has some really strange bosses created such as Goeniko and Advanced Krizalid dual coated. However, its Power system works differently, with three bars to work with and the ability to fill it up with most attacks. I'm a really big fan of your coding though, which is why I'm trying to use as much of it as possible.
That's part of what I'm working on fixing. Other than that the game seems pretty well designed. Now that you mention it though, it is strange they didn't include Goeniko. Once i finish two more characters, I'm gonna convert all the alpha's to beta's before finishing the last stretch. Those will take more than a couple days for sure. As you can see in the above image of the character select screen each of the character's profile image is really well drawn i'm not sure if they are original or stock images, they are great either way , and there are loads of characters to pick from. I've touched up some sprites I'm not very good at sprite editing, so it took forever and will be posting those in the resources section. I have noted all borrowed codes and plan to give each modded character proper credit.
In terms of the games system it is quite complicated and i'm not too sure i've got my head around it yet. Just wondering if it looks alright. It also can't move while dodging, making it one of the only characters to accurately replicate the dodging mechanics. I will most likely finish, just because the results are so promising. Though this is probably just be a personal problem with it running on my laptop and not the creator's fault. Valeeu Abra o programa ''zcmdcns. I think Terry turned out pretty good.
I'll be editing a couple of the alpha's next probably Mai and Kim , before going on to Iori. Alpha are characters whose move sets have been altered to fit the image of the character I'm trying to make removing moves, modifying moves, adding new moves. This character also has slightly sped up Master Fighter 3 jump physics similar to Viga. Think he turned out even better than Terry. I'll be hitting up Kyo, Iori and Ash next, if I can't get Orochi Shermie's Voices I'd like to do her next. Won't repost the others until they become betas. Much luck on this one.
