My Saab service center no longer resets the service indicator for me under any circumstances even if the indicator is at 2%. Does anyone know if only a mechanic can reset this? Intermediate service limits are 1 year, 10,000 miles, or X number of cold starts. After all it's my 9-3 now. The only thing which matters for the service indicators was the free service which no one has anymore. We are not able to offer Saturday deliveries. Well hello again remember I never reply instant-since I dontlife near mi internet now +2000Kms further, with the unsuccesfull Service-Request re-Set: my Euopean-car all of the sudden -while driving- asked myself, whether to I wanted to Re-Set the Service Interval or Not???? This number is generally located at the base of the windscreen, or on the vehicle documents. I have heard a strong argument to change the oil every 5,000 miles.

The Main and Intermediate service indicators almost never match up. We will then work the fitment out for you and reply within minutes. How was your try of this Reset-methode? Also, the Intermediate milage 1% 100 miles goes down faster than the 1% Main milage 300 miles. You see the lower of the two numbers. When the 2009 9-3 has been driven less than 5,000 miles in one year it resets at 365 days. Now the Main service is set for 30,000 miles.
It was reduced to a minimum of once a year in later model years. My 2008 9-3 was bought in Sept 2008 and the service indicator went to 0% at 400 miles driven. I had also followed the same procedure but it doesn't seem to work on mine either. I've pictured the forgoing display messages at traffic light, but think the thing tells it selfs;-? Or is there some quirky trick to it? Originally I did the service by the book, but now I try to do 2 oil changes during the 100% Intermediate service period. With routine driving the number of starts to go from 100% to 0% has been between 6,500 miles to almost 9,000 miles driven.
