Flickan som lekte med elden, Dekle, ki se je igralo z ognjem 2009 , švedski film z angleškimi podnapisi, po romanu Stiega Larssona. It's certainly not my style to make endless comparisons between old and new versions of the same story. That's not the case here; most of the intense scenes, including when Lisbeth spontaneously decides to have sex with Mikael, are overproduced, as if the intention was to be sensational. Little touches, such as Mikael's affair with his magazine coworker Robin Wright and his relationship with his religious teenage daughter Josefin Asplund , contribute absolutely nothing to the story apart from a surplus of characters. In doing so, Mikael uncovers astonishing facts about Lisbeth's mysterious past, while Lisbeth herself must confront the villains in a longstanding conspiracy against her. Larsson goes to great length describing how Lisbeth's body is positioned when she is buried alive, giving credibility to her ability to dig herself out. Just the amount of devotion she put into the role with the piercings being genuine, bleaching her eyebrows, cutting her hair, learning how to ride a motorcycle, using a very convincing Swedish accent, coming off as being just as messed up as her appearance lets on, and being completely nude is an incredible accomplishment.

A brave performance, Mara bares all in the nude scenes and goes to frankly horribly dark places in the now informous scenes of sexual violence. If you saw the movie you'll be happy to know this one is more detailed than the remake. And with everything that has happened to the character, we understand that Lisbeth has a right to be that way. Regarding the disturbing nature of some scenes, Fincher is wise enough to show them in all their horror but doesn't stop to linger or exploit. When Henrik first meets Mikael, for example, we find that the former is almost jovial not at all appropriate given his sad situation. Fincher's version also seems to feature a lot more of Mikael Blomkvist and Lisbeth Salander being together.
In between though, it becomes difficult to watch mostly with how Nils Bjurman handles giving Lisbeth more money and her response. The score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross is perfect, eerie and unsettling. She allows herself to be vulnerable, but clearly regrets it over time. When news of a remake began making the usual rounds, there was a fairly large uproar amongst the internet community isn't there always? The first half of the film is choppy, scenes thrown together with an almost haphazard manner. I'm also stumped by the curious decision to retain the Swedish setting. There are also several explicit sexual scenes both opposite-sex and same-sex , with partial and full-frontal female nudity. Small, antisocial, unorthodox in appearance and dress, she uses the skills she's painstakingly developed computer hacking, boxing, martial arts, and more to overcome prejudice against her and malicious attacks on her life.
She is edgy, self-contained and it is hard to take your eyes off of her. I have absolutely no interest in seeing the American made version of this trilogy. I am looking forward to going back and reading the books again, they are so good! Full movie online, english subbed. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is extremely dialogue driven, so be prepared for a lot of talking. Christopher Plummer and Stellan Skarsgard also turn in great performances as Henrik Vanger and Martin Vanger.
Also, if you're squeamish, you will not like it. Imagine the T-1000 from Terminator 2 made of motor oil or tar instead of metal and you have a pretty good idea of what to expect. In spite of the fact that the two lead characters are together on screen for only one brief interaction, the relationship between Lisbeth and Mikael builds as well. Lisbeth Salander is a wanted woman. And in what way does Henrik's family factor in? Her history of unpredictable and violent behavior makes her an official danger to society.
Mara does this such perfect skill, every glance is charged with deep feeling as if you're looking directly into her soul. More than anything i was impressed by the humour that is added through-out, this film will make you laugh, it will break your heart and it will make you want to take a shower. As a lover of foreign films, I normally grind my teeth when I hear that America is developing a remake. An expose on sex trafficking results in the murder of two of Blomqvist's colleagues; circumstantial evidence places Lisbeth at the scene, and she's wrongly suspected of the crime. She was brilliant and violent, but lacked the quiet pensiveness of the original character. I appreciated Played With Fire, I just feel it wasn't all that hot. Then there's Yorick van Wageningen that's just downright despicable as Nils Bjurman.
The same cannot be said about this new film. What did he do with the body of the victim? Women are brutally attacked, though they do fight back heroically. Mara commands every scene with a mixture of silent burning rage and a deep rooted venerability. Fincher's attention to detail to the source material is practically Kubrick-like. Lots of gun action, and a scene in which one character is bludgeoned with an axe.
Though it is not without flaws, Dragon Tattoo is an excellent story with the important mission of raising awareness concerning violence against women. The hype train let me down. Is the killer still alive? We were challenged to read her. But it's definitely not for kids or the faint of heart. And , for an American, it would have been preferred to have the psychiatrist who didn't resemble Frazier Crane. Synopsis Mikael Blomkvist, publisher of Millennium magazine, has made his living exposing the crooked and corrupt practices of establishment Swedish figures. The opening of the film was a bit unexpected.
